You thinking about going to Alanya? You should! And something you really ought to be jazzed for is grub. Yep, I’m talking food and drink! I remember my own visit very well, strolling through the streets, and then that whiff of some cooking. I just had to check it out, that food story, waiting to unfold with every dish. Here are a few of my favs.

So, where to even begin in this yummy landscape? You see, Alanya’s got so many eating places, so many tasty foods, it’s, well, a foodie’s dream, almost. Think about it, places tucked away in backstreets, cafes with outdoor seating that stretches along the harbor… So I wanna talk about a few gems to, like, focus our foodie attention, is that right?

1. Lokus Balik Evi: A Seafood Dream

If you feel like treating yourself to super-duper seafood, I would suggest a spot called Lokus Balik Evi. Is that interesting for you? I went there with friends, and it wasn’t just the food, too; it was the whole vibe that clicked. Sitting nearly at the seafront, seeing the waves crash as you grub on grilled fish is very great. I tell ya what! Ask for their grilled sea bass or shrimp casserole – the chefs really get cooking with those, very much. Is there something better than the spot to savor the best bits of the sea? Perhaps not!

2. Mezze House: A Taste of Turkish Tapas

Alright, now for folks who kinda just wanna pick at lots of flavors, you really can’t pass by Mezze House. So that name says it all, pretty much, doesn’t it? They concentrate on Turkish-style tapas, what people call “meze”. You’ll have little dishes that show what Turkish cuisine can do: spicy dips, tasty stuffed vine leaves, a range of salads so fresh, so it kinda smacks you awake. It is something you would go to in groups; this way, you could basically try almost everything. Plus the place looks nice, is that something you think matters? The way they present the food? To die for!

3. Olivia Gourmet Restaurant: Fancy Italian

Okay, time to switch lanes completely and talk about Olivia Gourmet Restaurant. Are you looking for, I don’t know, very well cooked and kinda modern European foods? That spot gives you that, as a matter of fact. What’s cool is, it doesn’t just shove Italian standards, you understand? Too it has stuff made in new ways with fresh local pieces and parts, very awesome. It’s kinda perfect for celebrating something fancy, like, maybe you landed a sweet deal or, I don’t know, felt like a change. Make sure that you, you know, see what they’re recommending, as a matter of fact; the chefs are artists.

4. Dinek Cafe: Views & Brews

When you need some awesome scenery, while sipping something good, have a little trip up to Dinek Cafe. Too! Dinek Cafe is set really high up on a hill, so, almost, I think you could almost see the entire city stretch itself under you. Do you think this matters? When I went, I did. It had great drinks, and the snacks are really, pretty delicious. It’s pretty, a bit of a trip away from the loud spots of Alanya. Going when the sun goes to bed is awesome – all of the lights twinkle, too, very wonderful.

5. Alanya Tarzi Ev Yemekleri: A Homestyle Experience

Let’s say that you crave that kind of cooking like grandma does, where it comes right from the soul – that is that something that you care for? I really can’t miss discussing Alanya Tarzi Ev Yemekleri. Actually it says what it means right in its name: It offers food like your grandma cooked in a house. Basically the menu swings every day. However! I could nearly promise a belly bursting dish; it is usually so good there. Going here is, like, eating what residents basically do eat, a more deep, local kind of eating adventure.
