Top Brazil Tours: Sightseeing & Cruises You’ll Adore

Brazil Attractions

Brazil, oh it really is quite a place isn’t it? It’s almost overflowing with so much life and culture, that planning a trip there can feel, well, like trying to pick just one grain of sand from Ipanema Beach; yet it is definitely exciting. I will say. With options that, like, range from exploring the Amazon to dancing the samba in Rio, it’s just a ton. You want to make absolutely sure you pick the experience that truly, really is perfect for you, alright? So, that is exactly why I went ahead and put together this review of five top Brazil tours, plus some seriously wonderful sightseeing and cruise options, as well. Here’s hoping it gives you some ideas!

1. Rio de Janeiro Highlights Tour

Rio de Janeiro

Rio, what can I say, that is the ‘Cidade Maravilhosa’ (‘Marvelous City’ alright!), really it’s got to be first on any Brazil to-do list. Like, this ‘Highlights Tour’ really packs a punch, it shows you all the iconic spots, you know? From the Christ the Redeemer statue atop Corcovado Mountain (like, seriously breathtaking) to Sugarloaf Mountain, with those views over Guanabara Bay that make you feel, oh just so small, yet everything comes to you at once. You can catch a cable car that whisks you way up there, and it can be great for photographs, too, I will add. A proper visit to places such as the Selarón Steps, is just a must – oh, those colourful mosaics made by the Chilean artist Jorge Selarón, yeah? Ahem, and it really just screams ‘Rio’. And that’s just a bit, some history? Selarón called it “my tribute to the Brazilian people”. I guess you could even swing by Copacabana and Ipanema beaches – like, sink your toes in the sand. After all, you really wouldn’t want to miss out on some good old beach culture there, yeah?

Why It’s Fab: Basically, if you want to get those perfect picture opportunities and say you’ve *done* Rio, really, it has to be this one. You do get a great feel for the city and the, oh I will just say important landmarks, yes.

2. Amazon River Cruise

Amazon River

Now, if cityscapes are rather just a little ‘meh’ for you, what about heading into the jungle for a bit instead? An Amazon River cruise is very likely something out of a nature documentary – really? It almost puts you smack-dab in the middle of the biggest, the what, oh the biggest rainforest, well yeah. These cruises, alright, that they vary in length (like, from a few days to over a week, that sort of thing) and mostly they will leave from Manaus. And, uh, like you can go and experience things like piranha fishing, jungle hikes with local guides (now those guys are *clever*!), plus those river dolphin sightings. Isn’t that, a thing? Then the sounds of the jungle and the almost thick air, oooh that’s just… really an experience!

There are nighttime tours as well. You’re able to spot caymans in the dead of night. Now that, that could be one for those people with *some* nerve, right? Plus if you get lucky, and that’s totally probable, yeah, it’s quite possible that you’re able to chill with the local communities and learn how they actually manage their day to day way of life, very.

Why It’s Fab: Well this isn’t only about what you see, it’s how you take it, right? It’s also actually the sounds, really the sounds of the Amazon that do get in your head – this almost constant, buzzing that goes right through you, then you kind of zone into it! So very special. And if you like getting, say, up close to wildlife, this thing could well be something you will *remember*, very.

3. Iguaçu Falls Tour

Iguaçu Falls

Alright now, fancy yourself a waterfall kinda person? Oh do not miss the Iguaçu Falls, oh that’s on the border of Brazil and Argentina (very impressive!), they really do happen to be bigger than Niagara (no joke!). Plus this tour that is basically from the Brazilian side offers those panoramic views, yeah? Giving you what you really want out of it! There’s almost too much going on, very very beautiful views. But if you’re keen and say feeling rather bold, there is almost like this boat trip. Yeah. Where you can basically go so very near the falls, that you are almost like properly soaking wet, yes!

It’s a rather wet business, I say, but if you want to feel the absolute of nature’s force, then oh definitely go for it! You can visit the nearby bird park. I think it’s fun as well! Basically where you can go chill with a load of toucans and macaws; a chance there for photos for your album, I see!

Why It’s Fab: Look. The Iguaçu Falls are an a kind of awesome sight to be beheld! Like, seriously just picture all that water *dumping* – seeing (and feeling) it from way, way close is not only a bit *wet*, you almost get quite lost! What can you say?

4. Salvador Historical City Tour

Salvador Bahia

So, this is almost somewhere that really offers up something way different, because you have to remember Salvador. You might remember that it was, so, once Brazil’s capital – ah so this one that boasts a quite ridiculously rich history mixed with a super awesome Afro-Brazilian culture, does it not? You can check out the Pelourinho, it is known. Basically, that area there’s some cobbled streets with colonial architecture that kind of tells quite a *story*. But what a sad story: as it has, just a past steeped in slavery. A somber bit of history for you right there, alright?

But, so, like this tour it usually does include some visits to, say, oh the São Francisco Church (basically a gold-leaf, ah sort of over the top church), it even offers you some capoeira performances that kind of show you what’s what; this is the Afro-Brazilian martial art that’s almost a kind of dance sort of business; isn’t that so? Plus. you’ll *have* to chow down some local Bahia food. Seriously. Give it a whirl!

Why It’s Fab: Salvador just *pulsates* with energy, so yeah? It’s basically where you can feel like Brazil’s roots properly, and the history – so that that isn’t only pretty to watch. This is a very important way of showing a respect, actually!

5. Pantanal Wildlife Safari

Pantanal Wildlife

Ah, this option – the Pantanal! It might be one you are, like, not familiar with actually. Brazil is so great right? Yeah it *has* so many eco spots and so many bio spots to find? (very, very important for, yeah the ecology of all). Right, I will say it again, well yes, Pantanal. It’s the planet’s biggest tropical wetland. So in a way you have, kind of, another Amazonas – only well, wetland form yes? Meaning you could, might actually get a much more easier time spotting the wildlife than inside the Amazon? Yes really!

Safaris over in these areas can basically come as a jeep excursion; could be horse riding or by boat, well you know, a thing like that? Most of the focus seems to be looking out for all animals that they go along with it, there? Like jaguars, caimans, capybaras (so, some massive rodents. You’ll smile!), as well as almost tons of bird species (something you might see anyway!). Tours can stay over quite often inside Pantanal’s lodgings giving one, very like proper, almost, experience of proper immersion.

Why It’s Fab: You could have thought, quite reasonably I might say, what with a Brazil break you need rainforest! *Nah!* Wetlands over that spot! All, actually is better, and, yes, wildlife fans absolutely should go over to here instead.
