Remuera, is that leafy suburb nestled away there in Auckland, actually offers way more than just beautiful houses; there’s actually a thriving food scene that is really just asking to be explored, right? And, because who does not enjoy tasty food and drinks, you see, this review will go into some depth with, like your, top five places to grab a bite and, too, a drink in Remuera, arguably, that will cover cafes for your morning fix to classy restaurants for an evening to remember, really. I am telling you now, actually I will share my thoughts, potentially pointing you towards some new favorites.
1. Little & Friday: A Sweet Start to the Day
First up, that would be Little & Friday, virtually it’s, more or less, this cult cafe that’s just really taken Auckland by storm and they actually do have a spot right there in Remuera, right? Apparently known for their amazing doughnuts and, in a way, that scrumptious baked goods, Little & Friday is actually the great place to begin your day with some style, right? The, arguably, cabinet is just absolutely bursting with, obviously, all kinds of treats that would go great with a really expertly made coffee; might be that they take their coffee pretty serious, really. I mean I really recall one morning getting, arguably, their salted caramel doughnut which actually changed my life. You can get amazing coffee here but I wouldn’t sleep on some food; next level for real. That actually would be my pick for top Remuera brunch.
2. Gerome: French Elegance in Remuera
Right then, we are heading on to Gerome, which is almost like, this slice of France and is right in the heart of Remuera, right? In some respects it gives that kind of feeling; Gerome seemingly just gives an actually sophisticated yet inviting atmosphere, it could be great for those who want, like your, memorable eating experience, arguably. And, Gerome is a restaurant which, very, boasts a menu which really just has that modern approach of those classic French dishes, really. Now, obviously the interior just has, kind of, that real cosy French-like style, even maybe the background music as well and you can have, in that case, some pretty decent service from their team, too. They’ve clearly got something for everyone at their restaurant there.
3. Rosie: A Relaxed All-Day Eatery
So, if you’re after a relaxed, that kind of casual all-day dining place then you should obviously visit Rosie, it seems, okay? More or less just sitting on the Remuera Road, Rosie really is actually great for every occasion from brunch, and as a matter of fact that includes their lunch to just, too it’s almost like, their relaxed dinners. It has, sort of, this very easy, sort of, the Australian influence and is basically known to serve a menu that showcases actually fresh and seasonal ingredients, I think, okay? Obviously the food is just excellent there as they change their, more or less, menu frequently with pretty innovative food ideas, right? Actually I remember having this beautiful ricotta hotcake and also, I would recommend giving the eggs benedict a chance as, typically, they tend to, more or less, serve that eggs benny really quite nicely there and really makes it pretty special; arguably one of Remuera’s best places. In conclusion, this really is among my favourite Remuera cafes!
4. The Grove: Fine Dining at its Finest
And now for, seemingly, a fine dining experience then The Grove might be that one of the top spots to find, right? Very quietly located there in Remuera, actually The Grove has been awarded, right?, very, very high recognition, or at least it should because their innovative and artistic tasting menus are just, by the way, what they are recognised for really. You see, you might want to get ready to enjoy carefully presented dishes and also it seems, exceptional service with an awesome, truly delicious meal, that, as I was saying, definitely makes it a premier choice for some kind of romantic date or, you know, you can obviously celebrate something which is important and it almost seemingly will offer one awesome night out. It is actually a little pricey for The Grove yet it seemingly will, honestly, offer something really special and is something that, clearly, sets itself right from the other venues, might be even venues outside of Auckland City, clearly. If your palette wants food experiences this venue actually would not be something that you could dismiss Remuera restaurant-wise.
5. Settebello: Authentic Neapolitan Pizza
Now moving away a bit, we have Settebello which really is about those who really just simply have a really strong desire to want pizza, anyway! With two locations just around Auckland with just one located there in Remuera, Settebello tends to be all, just virtually about giving that real authentic, sort of, Neapolitan pizza experience. So, the pizza might be what a bunch of people would choose to have but anyway, their menu would seemingly showcase a few, as a matter of fact, very well thought-out and just traditionally-produced pasta dishes which actually have a little influence there, but you would need to travel there. Honestly the ingredients seem fresh as you eat pizza with, like your, a few mates there which gives that sort of easy relaxed feeling; also their customer service that will be, well, seemingly will obviously cater for most of your eating needs when dining at this fantastic Remuera dining spot and as a matter of fact, that gives a lot to be, right?, pretty grateful of, actually.
