1. Hiking Poás Volcano National Park
First off, Poás Volcano National Park, it really is a must-see, you know. It’s sort of a place where you can almost see right into the heart of the earth, you see? So, just think: you hike a little ways, and BAM, there it is – one of the biggest active volcanoes anywhere. Seems cool, right? Sometimes, anyway, the main crater just fills up with clouds. More or less as mysterious, almost, right? The air kind of smells like sulfur a little. But that only makes it that much cooler, so that’s quite alright! Remember, even, to check what the weather’s going to be like before heading out there. After all, nobody would want the whole view to be spoiled just because it was really foggy. Just a friendly suggestion, that is.
Very nearby, by the way, you’ll find the Botos Lagoon. I suppose it’s a pretty old inactive volcanic crater. It now stores rainfall instead. How amazing is that? Don’t pass it up when traveling.
It’s nice too that you can just stroll around some super beautiful trails near Poás! Or just view nature for hours. I always enjoy the vibrant displays.
