So, let’s walk through my top five spots for food and drink in St Heliers; like a peek into what makes them special, isn’t it?
1. The St Heliers Bay Cafe & Bistro: A Coastal Gem
When you picture the quintessential seaside café, I guess The St Heliers Bay Cafe & Bistro pretty much pops into mind. Basically, it’s positioned so you are just across the road from the beach; honestly, you could not ask for a better view while you are eating. And, like, that’s a pretty awesome combo right, a great outlook and great food? As I was saying, that place feels like a regular part of St Heliers; honestly, you feel its part in the story of the town. Have a look at what else goes into that story; visit local history resources, isn’t it?
Brunch is something they really nail here. You know what I mean? We were there some weeks back, and really, I had the eggs benedict; in fact, it was cooked just perfectly, isn’t it? I can still pretty much recall that lovely hollandaise sauce, so tasty; it’s that kind of meal you sort of just savor. The portions are also really reasonable, too; I guess you do get that full, satisfied feeling but, yeah, not that overly full sensation, at the end of the day. Very popular for breakfast, lunch or dinner and with a varied drinks menu. Try looking at other cafe experiences to make sure.
But very, like, this café does more than great breakfast; by the way the lunch and dinner menus have plenty to rave about too. Apparently the seafood is super fresh and beautifully cooked. They’re serving up, you know, some local catches that really just celebrate those sea side vibes; Honestly you might check the local markets for inspiration. I’d kind of suggest trying their fish and chips; that’s really become a regular of mine and I suppose something people look for too. Or really you might just explore something different and special. What sets them slightly apart might be how great, you know, everything just tastes in sync, sort of? So the service is friendly, yeah, the views are excellent, so naturally, that meal you have would turn memorable; pretty much that’s an experience worth coming back for. Anyway for somewhere where you can sit down, and relax and just soak in that lovely coastal scenery; yeah, I might personally say the St Heliers Bay Cafe & Bistro needs to be high on your places to check out. I think it’s great there; isn’t it?
2. The Pavillion: Relaxed Vibe & Stunning Views
So, The Pavillion’s the kind of place where you can rock up feeling just a bit scruffy from the beach; I guess feel straight at home, just a little? Basically, I have been there very often after a swim; frankly that easy vibe’s exactly why it’s on my list. Really you should check waterfront restaurants, like your sure to agree its important. What you notice I would argue straight away would probably be, basically, the incredible view; literally that spans right across the Hauraki Gulf; really something special. The design feels very contemporary; you can still relax and let loose in.
The menu has quite the array; really covering everything. Burgers and pasta. When, you know, its hot there; I’m thinking, try their summer salads. Basically very very refreshing; a lighter way to enjoy something interesting for lunch, wasn’t it? As a matter of fact, what about finding picnic locations, like that really would make some change for some? Or like it would suit very well for that big family gathering too; like really there’s something there for all and any tastes. I usually head to The Pavillion with my family on Fridays; often something turns the end of the week something to enjoy, kind of? Seriously, we could have our meal outdoors; right near those heaters they do have; seriously keeping us warm in winter, is that? We tend to try their pizzas; honestly I’d reckon they’ve nailed it perfectly. Yeah, for a setting that is good for different meet ups with family and friends; you’d want, arguably, to visit this relaxing restaurant in St Heliers, maybe?
3. Tommy Millions: Pizza Perfection with a Quirky Twist
Want pizza, just a little differently than normal? Very likely Tommy Millions might tickle your fancy; isn’t it? To be honest their take on pizza is like unique; the sort of slice I could be craving regularly. Just very find creative pizza ideas, so Tommy Millions are great with their twist. Now this shop’s tiny. No place for dining at their place as much; for most it’s grab-and-go.
But, anyway, that does mean you are taking dinner to that close by beach though. Sitting by water as you watch that sun go away? Sounds ideal in this spot really, a bit? Tommy Millions’ menus are not like any chain pizzas; the kind that really gets people so excited for. So something like their cheeseburger pizza has all flavors of a great burger actually thrown atop so the pizza base. Yeah crazy though like surprisingly delicious really. Do not feel anxious so if those specials appear a bit crazy; these pizza chefs appear to be good at experimenting a little.
Honestly my go-to? So that would certainly be something they refer to be their pepperoni pizza. In some respects it has those nice and a bit smaller sizes; great to taste when eating a bit less as well, you find. To be honest the taste they give, is that that pizza is fresh then something I reckon many pizza restaurants have to struggle to make. Next time the cravings arise so find this pizza slice; really you’ll find this taste in pizzas is just good. Like look into other pizza venues for when your in town, you see? Is this, right, my all time greatest pizzas; pretty much this restaurant has had good innovation isn’t it?
4. The Marine Room: Sophistication with a View
Ok when fancy beckons then perhaps picture The Marine Room, very sophisticated? The way it is designed screams quality that’s good and lovely views over the beach. So for those really seeking dining experiences that really stands apart you’d very likely be hard beaten to find a match right now, maybe?
The food there that is set out. Basically looks to represent amazing New Zealand things produced. They’ve often amazing lamb dishes and they’ve fantastic fresh fishes. To get to their standard. So for quality this becomes very impressive as food goes; well really, find restaurants which achieve the standard you enjoy to frequent by considering this; why wouldn’t you explore these premium venues? Is this also some great way to celebrate occasions especially where meals might just leave your taste buds delighted?
Basically my anniversary with the family went really fab at the restaurant and all loved and approved every bits from meals through to wine. Well yes these wait staff seemed extremely educated also and gave those suggestions which complemented whatever meals people order. Seriously I would advise; well that the special’s should definitely be something people think of, especially when needing tasty new recipes that, arguably, don’t seem regular on various restaurant options. Therefore The Marine Rooms, so if requiring a setting that represents stylish but also sophisticated, might want to explore; what about taking a look at different venues as part of these Auckland Anniversary. In that case you should know that these views look outstanding really particularly just right as darkness creeps close? You find all sorts of venue’s when, arguably, reviewing some venues for special moments? Therefore yeah do that?
5. Gelato Workshop: A Sweet Seaside Treat
OK, Gelato Workshop just kind of makes this feel more ideal! If keen on desserts that do a little too fantastic and they look well homemade well look to that place. Obviously, these shops exist near the ocean line; right near The St Heliers Bay Cafe & Bistro honestly! So for stopping for dessert later on those meals sounds about perfect.
There does seem all these flavors with tastes very well mixed I notice. Very unlike shops offering some old desserts with, right, nothing at their side, you would probably just grab great selections just from here really too it’s almost! Seriously as a local myself who does enjoy that great icecreams. Yeah I often come for their unique unique combos here regularly indeed really! Well that would look like great combos; in that case something from lemon as to rosemary you may experience.
As I was saying like something that seems highly special would mean some combos change throughout those seasons to enjoy ingredients through their perfect taste. Basically look at trying; yes those flavors that do taste weird, but as a matter of fact very appealing I believe. Very good flavors as people eat Gelato; actually might make all times ideal with its selections available so next people think ice-cream or; look at various locations of ice cream! To be honest for this spot which; can create an ideal great great spot along that beachfront might tick all various sections where deserts should seem delicious always when there so; probably enjoy visiting all days regularly.
