The Albanian Riviera has absolutely some amazing views and even better food, in my opinion. And it’s so lovely getting to sit outside right as the sea’s breeze rolls on by? It can make everything taste better. Let me share my favorite spots that are pretty unforgettable in Himare for just about any kind of foodie. Get ready, anyway, because your taste buds are in for a real treat!

Restaurant Lefteri: A Seaside Classic

Restaurant Lefteri Himare

Very first up, there’s Restaurant Lefteri, and you know, it’s almost become an institution in Himare. So, its spot right by the sea is like, picture-perfect, very dreamy. This place might be great if you’re craving fresh seafood prepared super simply. They also serve wine. What really makes Lefteri, like your kinda spot? Well, in that case, it’s how fresh all of their stuff is. Their spot is legendary! They get everything from the local fishermen daily, so you know it’s very good. You should maybe try the grilled octopus or, as a matter of fact, the sea bass – it’s like, it practically melts in your mouth! Is that all? Also, the service here is as warm as the sunshine that Himare is famous for. This makes it great for, basically, chilling out for hours as you watch the waves. Sounds like heaven to me.

Taverna Vasili: Traditional Flavors with a View

Then, there’s Taverna Vasili which, pretty much, brings the true taste of Albania, you know, directly to your table. It’s kinda set a little higher up which means you also, too, get treated to really killer panoramic views that overlook the bay. As a matter of fact, it’s a good pick if you want to sample, as a matter of fact, conventional dishes. They are usually prepared with recipes handed down for generations! This one may be their stuffed peppers or, for instance, the slow-cooked lamb, very yummy, arguably could be like a hug from the inside. The ingredients feel, really, fresh, very locally sourced, and they’re cooked with so much love and care, like. That sort of gives you that, honestly, heartwarming sense of traditional Albanian hospitality. Vasili could be, often, pretty packed with locals and travelers alike, often a surefire sign that, as I was saying, you’re onto something good and authentic! You can go to Vasili, so why not?! Hospitality is something they hang their hats on!

Guesthouse Garden Restaurant: A Hidden Gem

Guesthouse Garden Restaurant Himare

This Guesthouse Garden Restaurant is not your everyday, average eatery, it’s arguably more or less like discovering a special place that feels kinda personal, sort of. In other words, the garden setting, which is all shaded and so very peaceful, provides this, as a matter of fact, pretty cool escape from the summer heat, maybe. Seemingly, they kinda specialize in meals prepared using very, very fresh stuff right from their backyard. If you’re very lucky, so maybe you catch them just, you know, picking salad for your dish as you sit and watch and stuff. The salads may be unbelievably amazing! Everything’s always, still, bursting with very vibrant tastes. If they have, as a matter of fact, their homemade lemonade on offer? Get it. Clearly, there is something kinda wonderful about how the guesthouse may combine amazing food with, literally, a really welcoming environment that may want to keep you sitting for a while. It’s simply amazing.

Porto Palermo Restaurant: Dining with History

Porto Palermo Restaurant

You should go and visit Porto Palermo Restaurant. Right, it’s near the Porto Palermo Castle. Do you like history? Well, maybe this one might bring something unique, kinda mixing great eats, for instance, with awesome historic views. Being right beside this castle makes it special. Very special actually. The view itself turns, pretty much, into an awesome addition when you’re eating the local Albanian foods. And so? I can taste it as if I am there. It can take you way, way back when. Clearly, it could almost, as I was saying, take your breath away with their fresh fish or really nicely done meat dishes. Are you looking for an experience more or less where every bite is not only tasty, I mean, clearly it’s delicious but feels, very, tied to the, very old stories of the area? Right, so? Yeah, then Porto Palermo’s your kind of place, as a matter of fact! Maybe you do. Or maybe you don’t consider a visit to Palermo.

Red Indian Rock Cafe: More Than Just a Drink

Red Indian Rock Cafe Himare

Right, so if you’re very eager for something that can take you a little off of the usual touristy trail, yeah? As a matter of fact, the Red Indian Rock Cafe might, just a little, surprise you. What I remember most is, pretty much, that it’s not strictly all eats; it’s arguably much more of, very, a cultural pit stop offering cool snacks. To be honest? It’s also something that I like, and others might too! It has this amazing view of the clear waters, yeah, serving cold beverages that seem very perfect, specifically if you’re very eager to chill out post a great swim, I mean, in that crystal-clear water that may look like you’ve seen in some movies! If you were gonna sit down and grab a really good drink and light fare? It will really get those amazing coastal panoramas as the backdrop, and for instance? You can get it with so very good rock music setting all of the moods! This cafe kinda gives a completely, like, different kinda taste and a different flavor profile in comparison to many spots in Himare truly amazing cultural experience. That will make the memories feel way more amazing than you had expected.
