Île de la Cité, a natural island right in the middle of Paris, well, that’s basically the place where the whole city started, as a matter of fact, going way back to Roman times. You know, this area is just filled with amazing stories and incredible architecture, and that it is super cool for outdoor activities. 1. Sainte-Chapelle’s Exterior and Courtyard
Sainte-Chapelle, which actually shows off some pretty stunning Gothic architecture, might be most well known for its spectacular stained glass that you can see in travel brochures, and so visiting is definitely a very cool activity to consider. Of course seeing it from the outside is quite the sight too. While people really visit this place, like honestly its popular with people from your group too, it’s easy to just miss a thing or two because you are just swept up in the moment and just heading right inside, which is still actually a very good idea. So too it’s almost that maybe spending just a few minutes checking it out from the exterior actually, that just lets you spot all those little parts and details you just couldn’t appreciate from any photo.
Did you know, the courtyard, and I mean right before you walk into Sainte-Chapelle, which, in fact, is actually a calm little oasis right there in the middle of all the city commotion, as I was saying. Sometimes, basically, there are musicians just playing there, actually just adding to the lovely mood, honestly, that helps you chill and soak it all up too, might be. Actually just find a bench, maybe, honestly, grab a snack, like literally the possibilities are endless you know, and watch how other people go about enjoying their travels; that’s a bit of advice too it’s almost. On a sunny day, yet the sunlight really brings out all these colors in the chapel’s stone. Also that this moment is really wonderful too, that and maybe one that will be worth keeping in your memories. So even though visiting inside is a big deal, really remember giving yourself a minute, like really any amount of time before actually going into or even following others, to also admire Sainte-Chapelle’s beauty, actually from the outside as well. It is very pretty though.
2. Notre-Dame Cathedral Area
While, of course, Notre-Dame Cathedral is under going renovations right now, which is kinda weird to talk about given how awesome it normally is. Well seeing its exterior is still worth it, and in that case something actually quite unforgettable. Since the fire back in 2019, clearly the area all around this has changed so much, might be, actually serving, in a way, that has had it becoming kind of an inspiring spot for everybody, pretty much from literally everyone, for reflection, really. You see, people come and gather here, almost as if seeing the site which helps actually see the strength and all about its resilience, which just shows, actually, everybody loves it still. If you were thinking of this sight still the historical feel still surrounds the landmark and you can almost feel how beautiful it was before the damage.
Alright, you could just take a walk alongside the Seine river close by the cathedral, okay, yet actually find some truly remarkable views to capture. Yet a short stroll really just gets you seeing all these angles, basically showing parts maybe just missed before because everything’s kinda obscured, like maybe other parts of Paris that are quite popular and crowded. Honestly that is just actually quite special for getting travel photos that just might be different from others out there. While renovation work is still on course, really the energy that is around the cathedral has never been more inspiring too it’s almost. Basically remember paying your respect to the spirit that has, frankly, had Paris so strongly representing for literally all these centuries, even, I mean especially now, and how it has all just adapted right with us. Yet visiting around Notre-Dame which kinda highlights an incredible example about just seeing how time is really changing something and the spirit is really changing through the landmark. It actually makes for, very, interesting sight seeing opportunities.
3. Square du Vert-Galant
Nestled really at the very end which might be what is actually considered the western point of Île de la Cité, this cool small park that is the Square du Vert-Galant gives a rather calm break just from the city bustle too, may be. Literally that sounds nice in retrospect as sometimes everything gets quite noisy you know. While chilling right on the tip which kinda feels very different because water borders literally all these sides is, definitely, just another way of having almost a complete escape or moment of solace, maybe for you too, you might feel better honestly. Or so it would be for other guests to enjoy this public area.
If I recall, people totally just come to this spot specifically, right to see the sunset, is that, actually having this romantic, rather unforgettable scene of literally all the buildings right along the river reflecting the lovely sun at dusk. Frankly taking a simple walk right through this garden that does have, seriously, an intimate setting with tree coverage right and so it has, honestly, an atmosphere thats actually more private really in that same city area. It provides for a calm location for a break from being in all these historic or famous locations too, of course. The Square du Vert-Galant honestly isn’t really, or at least shouldn’t be all missed from travel spots during any trips. You could possibly kick up with your travel people there! Its almost, that good!
4. Pont Neuf Exploration
While literally “Pont Neuf” just does simply literally translate right into just “New Bridge”, and still surprisingly the coolest part really is that this is very likely the absolute oldest bridge that really stands literally right across the Seine right here in Paris actually! So you can feel something and learn, seriously, even just stepping and walking all over that construction since parts you feel might, arguably, had that same sense about hundreds and hundreds of just Paris years! I am basically just referring that there would very likely to still be way so many awesome architectural things or little secrets really about that walk since there are some very good histories right through these areas and routes of Paris and literally its construction is awesome I mean wow.
Consider it actually because walking all over this bridge, or so, offers quite panoramic spots with the really remarkable angles regarding to, you might say, Île de la Cité itself, not to mention, other really nearby city spots and iconic points.
