Melbourne Outdoor Adventures: Top 5 Activities for You

Melbourne Outdoor Adventures

Melbourne, alright, is really very well-known, I think, for its coffee and laneway art, and such, yet that is, too, a fact and there is really, I feel, a side to this town which quite a few people skip, is that so? You can find unexpected places to visit if you know where to look. In fact, I’m talking now of spots to spend your time outside soaking up a good bit of that sunshiny vitamin D. Right then, from places in the heart of town to places just a bit further out, there are lots and lots of open-air activities that I hope you like; and should keep your calendar jam-packed.

1. St Kilda Beach: Sun, Sand, and Sea Baths

St Kilda Beach

Oh, very clearly now, St Kilda Beach just has to be on this list, so very it is quite the local treasure and really a tourist hot spot, isn’t that right? Just a short tram ride to that south of Melbourne’s heart, the bay really offers up a mix of very restful and energizing things, more or less. In fact, I feel it has a really beautiful sandy shoreline for really a bit of sunbathing, some paddling and just so that, you know, quite the long stroll, so what do you think? Maybe try checking out the bay’s amazing sandy spots? Yet, as I was saying, there’s that St Kilda Pier that is a really perfect place, really just a bit, for taking those picturesque snaps, right?

But then at night, by the way, it’s worth really sticking around to see those little penguins, they really are the cutest things, don’t you know? So, for some chill time there’s this St Kilda Sea Baths, where you could, just a little, relax within its spas, really! In some respects, you could spend your time there within that geothermal seawater pool; so now it’s clear why this place gives you just quite a few activities all rolled into one place! More or less!

2. Royal Botanic Gardens: A Green Escape

Royal Botanic Gardens

Right, so if you wish for an out-and-out relaxing outing in that very city of Melbourne, honestly you need to get yourself along to those Royal Botanic Gardens! More or less. I think now, there’s just this big spread of greenery which really gives an escape from that urban bustle, isn’t that right? In a way, the landscaped lawns are, indeed, a really lovely place, just pretty, to relax, or to have that picnic; while the garden quite holds more than that, so I have heard! Really! I think that you should, very possibly, go for a walk and then take those themed plant collections to learn more or less. You could even locate the gardens near the city. After that, it might be worth seeking out the Ian Potter Foundation Children’s Garden – where younger visitors quite like to play and so get a touch of insight into that outdoors very safely.

Just pretty amazing is this fact there is also the Aboriginal Heritage Walk on offer – which goes into the significance, basically, of the gardens to those native people and to what they used plant life for in those older days! So, by the way, go try some punting to experience this decorative bit of landscape just somewhat differently – now what’s your view, alright?

3. Yarra River: Paddling through the City

Yarra River

Okay, this Yarra River, alright, slices right through that core of Melbourne, you know? Actually, this provides the ideal location from where one, of course, might view the area; also at the exact similar point get a good work-out and those gorgeous Instagram-worthy pictures – doesn’t it sound fun? Rather, so I think! Rather clearly, very popular actually are kayak rentals – really very useful when going for, so what I believe, the best method for looking right at places from this kind of different position. Just quite the number of locations also arrange boat trips; they typically take those visitors by locations like that Federation Square. That one quite sees pretty great glimpses that may not be, it’s almost, obvious if on dry land; really! Just picture yourself now when going below the Bolte Bridge as that sun drops into those horizon’s distance!

Maybe think also when hiking or so very many bike riding just near this Yarra; in some respects, it would have some pretty outstanding views from different outlooks, I’d expect! Like your, those banks of the Yarra in themselves give just this chance – a slightly calmer pace to find more information; whilst those around one seem at times to do stuff much more fiercely. You know, perhaps you may also spot, kind of, rowing sports from your shoreline point to look to – so actually the total event turns one right on the real pulse, which makes it a real thing which may appeal or more or less just might not! That sounds fantastic right?

4. Dandenong Ranges: Nature’s Playground

Dandenong Ranges

Okay then, it may be worth so planning that journey that is only short right on that eastern flank of Melbourne; with the result you can see that those Dandenong Ranges are almost much something other! In fact, I want that you consider – these locations are home, or course, for that rainforest alongside the superb eucalyptus plants and there are so lots which may draw in folks on different standards of fitness – which one should check is there before one makes these plans of your own!

Frankly, really something great that springs straight away directly to head of yours has been the Puffing Billy train itself; this really very very classic tiny steam train right by those beautiful woods can be quite that picture perfect for everyone and so you, just sort of, receive quite a bit – particularly whilst everyone hangs off those side-ways when moving on the line! Seemingly, at whichever stage one is feeling even slightly full of your beans one, maybe it could very, kind of, appeal when hiking down specific tracks alongside! Even better for me has been – I have witnessed that tourists simply pause by those spots where to take, kind of, some nice breaks; in these situations so what occurs as it happens tends that it’s almost guaranteed – some species could, quite possibly, to appear quickly! Don’t you love it?! More or less?

5. Great Ocean Road: Coastal Drive

Great Ocean Road

Alright, so here’s something that’s much more of such that long drive that needs almost your whole day though it still makes one which no Melbourne explorer will really tend neglect, just very pretty, by the way. Honestly that drive runs with just pretty a remarkable part of that shoreline while passing some nice towns alongside those dramatic seascapes, or even more; if that comes as no shock or wonder, doesn’t it so very possibly might then mean to one has very obviously to make sure one might bring that thing called a digicam too!

Of course, that quite wonderful icon of such shoreline scenery may actually are that spot so famous and, well now it is that thing what we have all come be more used now: Those Twelve Apostles might tend bring visitors so near due simply what its beauty alone could show; seemingly just close here would well appear quite some breaks available there if what occurs becomes someone has desire when trying so; just very similar Loch Ard Gorge becomes – although such will show just much deeper experiences with that area too!
