Thinking about taking a trip up North in Morocco to check out a good amount of its artistic legacy and what makes the culture pop? Northern Morocco, you see, it’s almost like this place that’s full of history and creative vibes that will have you staring and smiling as you walk through, seeing so many cool things. So, like, if you want to go beyond what all those tourists go do at the resorts, then you gotta, like, come and experience these great places.
1. The Kasbah Museum in Tangier
Okay, so first up, you really have to go see the Kasbah Museum in Tangier! That place, is that just a crazy amazing spot. Housed within the old Sultan’s palace, it’s kinda one of those spots that totally tells stories from way back when. You can, very much see the artefacts going as far back as, nearly, prehistoric times, plus these super fascinating bits all regarding Moroccan history! That building alone? Just an incredible show. So, you know, if you are walking up there, too, it’s almost like every corner holds such different pieces of decorative art. That is quite cool to find. The views of the Mediterranean? 2. Chefchaouen’s Blue-Washed Streets
Chefchaouen is famous all over the internet, for a good reason, you see! Very much often described as the “Blue Pearl,” it, just a little, is a place where the buildings were given that incredible shade of blue to create, just so so, Instagram-friendly shots all over the place. Beyond, very, those gorgeous pictures though, lies this, really, deep cultural reasoning to its hue. Arguably, some locals even tell how the blue keeps away the mosquitos. Now, that makes this town into something unique! As a matter of fact, a great bit, is wandering the streets where artisan shops display some really cool goods from handcrafted pieces all the way down to a sweet amount of carpets. The town’s beauty might be something quite unmatched! By the way, if you do end up staying, then go try all those fresh tagines; there’s nothing like eating local in an aesthetic setting like that, is that not just lovely?
3. Tetouan’s Medina: A UNESCO Site
Right then, moving onto the historical heart of Tetouan! Next up, Tetouan’s Medina, the thing that’s so famous for, and really that UNESCO recognition gives a lot to the town’s historic legitimacy to be able to get checked out. Okay then, if anyone did enjoy museums such as the Kasbah up at Tangier then this place, so too it’s almost, should have all their curiosity all worked out just great. That palace itself really presents the luxury to all those past sultans through some, seemingly, gorgeous architecture pieces, alongside these crazy decorative designs. Very, that space does its job to display how well Moroccan crafts go, and as I was saying, that very part focuses nearly all throughout that collection going there that showcase everything coming as Berber carpets to fantastic pottery right? So, the trip almost makes any visitor connect super well with, still, Morocco’s historic roots by appreciating them to their absolute core! All considered though it would also really provide even some better angles while observing their different types of art, depending very upon all the techniques each artist tried! The Moroccan arts really have that extra ‘oomph!’ with all the architecture and historical designs behind the building.
5. Volubilis: Roman Ruins
