Syracuse, New York, has lots of spots where you can have wonderful moments! Actually, Syracuse, it seems, has quite a bit to offer those folks looking for something fun that’s outside. I remember the first time I visited; I had no idea there were so many options for seeing some cool stuff! It could be that you’re all about trying to find some serious excitement or just eager to peek at the pretty scenery; there’s usually something here for basically anyone. Let’s peek at what some folks consider to be some good choices when in Syracuse.
1. Erie Canal Boat Tour: History Floats!
So, you can have fun with the Erie Canal Boat Tour. As a matter of fact, the Erie Canal played a really significant role back in the 1800s as something that helped grow the economy. That said, nowadays, it’s kinda neat to go out and check it out from a boat, you know? That is that these types of excursions normally give you something like a history lesson while showing off certain views. These are typically just great to relax during as you peek at the little towns along the water, too. Actually, you might even learn some fun tidbits you wouldn’t know otherwise! One time, on a canal tour, I overheard this older gentleman chatting about when his grandpappy worked the canal. It was certainly pretty amazing!
2. Onondaga Lake Park: Pedal and Paddle Fun!
Speaking of nice outdoor places to visit, take a look at Onondaga Lake Park. Honestly, the area is a cool park and you can bike, kayak, or maybe just mosey on around. Plus, they rent bikes, which is pretty fun. I am telling you, I always think renting bikes and tooling around parks can be an amazing day outdoors! Is that right, you ask? It can be so beautiful when you kayak, because the water can look particularly still as the sun rises, painting every branch and leaf this vivid, soft gold.
3. Skaneateles Lake Cruise: Luxury Views
So, if the possibility to kick things up a little more sounds fun, how about Skaneateles Lake Cruise? I am thinking you will appreciate this one. That said, Skaneateles Lake seems to boast super-clean water and fancy houses hanging along its banks, too it’s almost like a boat tour around here seems more special. Anyway, boat tours usually have eats, drinks, and spots where you can recline, providing different and fascinating spots to peek at nature while on the water. On the one I went on, I got some killer pics!
4. Highland Forest: Hiking and Views!
When some fresh mountain air feels like a need, there is also Highland Forest that offers spots to explore and hike, too it’s almost an alternative. Plus, hiking here tends to have gorgeous views during the fall. First time I visited Highland Forest, there’s also different tracks so that you could easily find a hike that does or doesn’t challenge yourself depending on how fit you are, right? If you end up around some parts, anyway, you can look way out and possibly feel similar to when the main character from a story finds some high ground and just can’t stop viewing the countryside and getting some reflection going.
5. Destiny USA: Indoor Fun
For an area indoors that still has spots to explore, you’ll want to peek into Destiny USA. Actually, this one could be just the thing in case there’s weather! And the area is basically enormous: that is that they are ready to have folks entertained with different stuff like fun activities to go through plus a gigantic space dedicated entirely to various sorts of retail outlets. That is that there’s everything around the building here to simply spend time on all sorts of different stuff; that includes restaurants if one begins feeling the munchies! In fact, they actually have an upside-down ropes course up near the tippy-top. Wild.
