Top 5 Bohemia Cultural Tours: An Insider’s Review

Bohemia Cultural Tours

So, Bohemia. Perhaps you think of that region in the Czech Republic like your aunt thinks of it; somewhere kind of historical, with, too it’s almost, beautiful buildings and, basically, a whole lot of, well, stuff you might read about in a book. In fact, for someone who loves experiencing what a different way of life offers, Bohemia is totally great, I mean, really incredible. And with tons of companies providing, like, tours all over, how do you even choose? Hopefully this review will help, you know, make the best selection for experiencing Bohemian charm.

1. Prague Castle and Old Town Walking Tour

Prague Castle and Old Town Walking Tour

The Prague Castle and Old Town walking tour could be, in some respects, the ultimate “getting to know you” for Prague and Bohemian culture as a whole. Arguably, this walking adventure gets you up close with all that history –that old fortress that basically looms over everything, the tiny little roads of Old Town where you can imagine counts and duchesses going for a wander. Typically, you get a local guide, so they’re, like, super ready with stories you absolutely won’t get from any old guidebook. In some respects the tours last about three or four hours, which tends to be enough to see the main bits and maybe grab some grub on the go during Prague Old Town adventures. This tour stands out thanks to, seemingly, covering history, construction and daily life in older times.

2. Kutná Hora and Sedlec Ossuary (Bone Church) Day Trip

Kutna Hora Sedlec Ossuary

Okay, ready for something, like, a little more…unusual? Kutná Hora and the Sedlec Ossuary are what a lot of people would call the Bone Church, and very, very arguably, they are very, very, cool. So, too it’s almost a day adventure from Prague, and what they usually do is take you to this, almost, town where they, apparently, used to mine silver – pretty vital to Bohemia back in the day. Now, here is where things turn a bit bizarre, very: the Ossuary. It is that place decorated inside using actual human bones. Really. What seems really strange ends up kind of awesome; it, typically, makes you consider history and how everyone lives on in the bones of others. Arguably, most tours will include your transport, your guide, plus your entry fees and all, in short. It tends to be the kind of adventure, at the end of the day, which really sticks in your brain. It should really have people speaking about it for ages. Discovering gothic and somewhat gruesome stories might make you re-think your travel ideas.

3. Bohemian Switzerland National Park Hike

Bohemian Switzerland National Park

Not feeling old building stuff? Then Bohemian Switzerland National Park hike will seem a world away. What most will not realize is this isn’t Switzerland (that bit’s next to Germany) yet the scenery looks rather like something out of, actually, a fairy tale. Massive rocks, lush nature plus pretty, pretty forests that are really wonderful for losing yourselves, which you won’t do, arguably, because they also have guides! Many day ventures come with transport, lunch, then a guide who takes you up to sights just like the Pravčická Gate – which looks super cool when photographed. This, seemingly, can feel pretty vigorous if you are not into a long trek, but, obviously, it does make a fantastic break coming from crowded places or busy city experiences. That being said, it is a super adventure into, you know, how gorgeous Bohemia turns out to be during park natural guided exploration. Be prepared, if not, maybe wear good shoes!

4. Český Krumlov Day Trip

Cesky Krumlov

Well, if one wants small-town attraction, Český Krumlov will, apparently, be what they seek! So, basically, this location has one super charming community lying directly upon the Vltava River (which could be the major river in the Czech Republic, naturally). Obviously the whole community seems as though it comes straight from, obviously, a postcard; you have one lovely castle, buildings and then old stuff along roads where they often seem to host festivals. Tons of guided journeys usually make sure you witness important sections, typically letting people walk by themselves for just a bit to experience how relaxed stuff often turns out to be. Tours generally take one entire day (often two since that means you don’t, you know, hurry that part along) and will, seemingly, definitely mean long riding times even so definitely see what the traffic looks, that, for sure, makes that seem really lovely. All the day spent seems definitely, actually, justified as you view a slice around Bohemian history – one in every single tiny, pretty corner within peaceful Bohemian communities. Pack good cameras!

5. Traditional Czech Food Tour

Czech Food Tour

Don’t, arguably, get me moving onto all Bohemian adventures! When buildings will appear wonderful plus when hiking can show you beauty through countryside, not forget all adventures from Bohemian will completely lack something that only feeds yourself. Many food excursions really take place mainly inside cities, usually cities which include Prague of course, also will usually include meals located somewhere besides traditional destinations instead mainly towards small locations where one’s, you know, where someone local will love taking their grandmother! Usually one might taste stuff just like goulash (that meaty stew), trdelník (wonderful pastry treats usually located around marketplaces), as well like certain nearby beers – stuff will feel incredibly nice combined together as a group too; that definitely shows additional culture along. Many folks whom guide will definitely give an excellent backstory located on, naturally, one stuff tasting: that’s really useful toward considering what tends a huge area of such Bohemian attitude really does exist that they, as a matter of fact, just simply, don’t want stuff becoming absolutely unpalatable or, definitely, incredibly poor. Sampling flavors from Bohemia offers rich memories, that being said never neglect taking certain food/drink around since sometimes one thing you, obviously, discover remains the perfect gift too.
