The owner, Papi, that is just a super, cool dude. Papi seems to put, such, genuine love into his cooking, that just makes this a great place. Seriously, if you don’t like sea food at La Casita de Papi then maybe this review is not for you!

The seafood here tends to be off the charts. Yet, very fresh. Anyway, for real you need to grab the seafood parrillada – a platter stacked very high with grilled lobster, shrimp, fish, and conch. You get like a true taste of the ocean. That is, if you’re after a particular item, ask Papi as he tends to prepare new catches if it pleases him.

In fact, it can get crowded, especially during sunset, so showing up a little bit early actually helps you a lot, in this way. Or in the meantime, very book ahead if possible! Seriously, you could try any drink at all, anyway stick with a classic Dominican rum punch. I mean you’re really getting into the vibe. Don’t ignore any of their local dishes such as mofongo, this is essentially mashed plantains with garlic, as it is an explosion of flavour.

As I was saying the batter on the fish is wonderfully crisp, and in that case, very the sauce has like a tasty, creamy lime kick, that brings it completely to the front of your mouth, more or less. What you may tend to get, the charming coffee shop specializes like in seriously tasty waffles and delicious coffee that is to make you want more, apparently. A few people like the more mainstream beach shack restaurants. Now I personally like to seek out something less known for authenticity reasons, just myself.

Seriously, they make like a lovely start. Of course you could construct your own waffle with lots, seriously I do mean it, lots of tasty, fresh fruit. You could almost just pour chocolate over absolutely every one! Also, if you’re really on holiday then grab their waffle sandwiches – seriously they do, you know, exist! Like one thing I would have a go at, just be honest. This cafe has an almost perfect vibe and will keep you going throughout the day for other stuff too. Very tasty coffee as well which is a super bonus.

4. Pomodoro: Italian Goodness with a View

Like it’s clear we needed Italian right? Like you just cannot rule it out! Anyway, located close to the beach, you can like almost walk to your sun lounger directly after if you want. This, really is the spot to have an excellent meal and take in Cabarete’s vibes with beautiful backdrops too! Like what more could one want from a restaurant. At least this is what I look for anyway, well seriously most people would in general, you know!

And then, that is so awesome, it can tend to just add to the joy to top this all off with traditional dishes! By the way you could taste handmade pasta here and freshly made dough to die for, like the owners want you to taste Italy, you know! Like I mean their spaghetti alle vongole could well have been served directly up in Rome! This place gets an amazing check from me personally.

5. Kite Club Cafe: A Chilled Out Haven

So next up is the amazing and great Kite Club Cafe! So it isn’t just another place to like grab some grub, for example, you could very tell that is more of like a place where individuals link up and engage with, well whatever takes their attention at that time, alright? Alright then, it is just set appropriately close to the sea-shore so you have awesome ocean views all over. Anyway, you are literally a stroll off of Kite Beach where individuals show up in big groups from all around so to get away and grab a drink and a tasty snack is all but amazing.

As a matter of fact its super, that they do healthy stuff so like if you are into this then you can certainly feel guilt free here.
