So, you’re planning a visit to Montserrat? Well, that’s cool! Very few places combine spiritual significance, natural beauty, plus cultural appeal quite like Montserrat. But with quite a lot of different options out there, picking the right ticket or pass could be, arguably, tricky. Basically, I wanted to put together this, honestly, review to make that decision a little, arguably, easier for you. Seriously, I’ve checked out some really popular choices, considering, that is, what they offer plus their pros, cons, things you should be aware of. Very few things compare.

1. Montserrat: Monastery Visit with Black Madonna

Right, this here, almost, is your most straightforward ticket to get inside the monastery. Now, it gets you past the entry line, lets you see the Basilica, where the revered Black Madonna is housed. We should be going!

What you get: So, it’s almost, fast-track entry to the Monastery, lets you check out the Basilica and Black Madonna. I will try this, since the lines are always long. Then you could take a tour around the attraction.

The good: Clearly, this is like your budget-friendly choice for just seeing the main attraction. Frankly, skipping the line is a major perk.

Things you should be aware of: Still, this, that is, ticket really only covers entry. Very few extras here; for the fun stuff, you might need to pay out some more money. We just did!

Is this a good choice for you? Right then, is it? Basically, you’re on a tight budget plus your, really, main focus is seeing the Black Madonna, that’s very good! Arguably, it could be a solid choice. Absolutely fabulous in every way!

2. Montserrat & Cava Day Trip from Barcelona

Right, this, that is, trip’s for anyone trying to combine a bit of culture with a little, really, local flavor. Basically, the trip bundles a visit to Montserrat with a trip out to the Penedès wine region, very cool! You get the best of, actually, both worlds, basically!

What you get: Very cool; that covers transport from Barcelona, a trip, actually, to Montserrat, plus a visit to a Cava winery complete with a tasting session. I suppose that could be great.

The good: Still, no need to stress about organizing transport! Arguably, having, you know, the Cava tasting really makes it feel more, or less, than just some average tour.

Things you should be aware of: Right then, if you’re totally not down with alcohol, then it might be best to, you know, check out another option, very well? Just don’t get drunk.

Is this a good choice for you? Well, right, do you love the thought of blending scenery with a little bit of, actually, wine? I will try, if you don’t, that could just be the, obviously, ticket to get!

3. Montserrat: Cogwheel Train & Monastery Entry

Basically, fancy taking, arguably, a seriously scenic route up to Montserrat? Literally, the Cogwheel train is a big, by the way, part of the experience for a lot of people. I love that train!

What you get: We have access to the Monastery. Basically, it features a round-trip ticket on the Cogwheel train. I am trying to travel soon! Check their webpage if you are unsure how to travel there.

The good: Anyway, the views from that train? Almost, awesome! Anyway, that just cuts out any driving stress too.

Things you should be aware of: Clearly, if you get very, literally, seasick or heights bother you, that’s obviously, a, like, slightly longer journey. We’ve all been there! But just remember not to look down. LOL.

Is this a good choice for you? Well, clearly, if you are wanting a picturesque ride, that’s your call! That train can bring back happy memories!

4. Barcelona: Montserrat Tour, Cable Car & Optional Lunch

Well, literally, this has a lot of, honestly, flexibility. It uses a cable car to access the Montserrat instead of train. That might sound cool, it’s your pick!

What you get: You travel from Barcelona. Actually, a cable car ride up Montserrat, a guided tour is an awesome chance! If you like local guides this is ideal for you. In all honesty, not everyone would like this package, depending on their budget or the length of time, and I understand that, okay?

The good: That way you have transport all sorted. I see.

Things you should be aware of: This, literally, relies on decent, like, weather to run. Remember that cable car? Bad for heights. Seriously, it depends!

Is this a good choice for you? So, if not sorting the car or train plus some insight during touring is, you know, for you! Enjoy.

5. Montserrat: Santa Cova Funicular

Basically, this takes it up one more notch with a way more specialized ticket. Really? Alright, this pass provides admission for a ride up to Santa Cova Funnicular for exploring, and more. Wow! Now what?

What you get: Literally, access on the Santa Cova funicular and walking around the, that is, trails to enjoy! Now you know why, maybe!

The good: Gaining, literally, views out over holy spots from those trails and mountains!

Things you should be aware of: Seriously, good weather to enjoy plus maybe not with super, really, little kids here?

Is this a good choice for you? So, really keen for quiet views plus trails where tourists may not wonder off!
